The cottage footprint was dictated by topography and views, the rear elevation hung’s the ground while the front in slightly elevated above grade. The 135 degree angled configuration of modules provides views across the bay and down the lake.

We had a mild spell in early March to instal the glazing, the entire lake elevation features a combination of fixed & awning windows and 4 panel bi-parting doors.

The structure is now ready to be sealed, the roof membrane will be installed in a couple of days.

Roof joists are being hung, the joists are face mounted to the beam so that the beam will be concealed into the roof framing allowing floor to ceiling glazing.

Early February, the 6” X 12” - 22 foot parallam beams have been erected, the 4 foot cantilevered floor and roof are shown clearly in this image.

Its mid January and the sub-floor framing has been completed on the Crystal Lake project, the parallam posts have been bolted to the column bases and through the microllam beam. D Fir ply is on site and ready to be layed.

Main entrance walls have been finished in rough sawn random width pine, the corridor walls are paneled in edge grain D Fir with a reveal above and below.
